To date, there has only been one published road test / product review.  Scoot Magazine was lucky enough to obtain one of these bikes and did a review of it for their December 2009 issue.  The review was written by Josh Rogers. Josh put a few hundred miles in on the Classic model that he reported on. The most significant problem he encountered was a lot of vibration from the bike. This problem was discovered to be in the gearing for the bike and not the hard mounted engine like Josh suspected. The California Scooter Company has already corrected this problem by re-gearing the bike. You can read all the specifics and see the dyno testing of the bike after the gearing changes, at www.CaliforniaScooterCo.com/blog/

Josh goes on to state in the article: " The styling of this bike is refreshing in it's vintage faithfulness. The engine is peppy with a lot of torque. It really gets up and goes. For those who love the look and feel of a vintage Mustang, the Classic offers a modern version that one could ride day in and day out without the worries and extra care of the original. It's a beautiful machine that really ran well. As of right now the bike comes in three basic color schemes Classic, Baby Doll (pink), Greaser (flat black with red accents). Accessories will be available including ape hangers, a rear rack, and crash bars. The California Scooter Company plans to begin sales in February 2010."  (Scoot Magazine, Dec. 2009)

" I  would like to think that I am building what Mustang would be building today if they were still in operation, " Steve Seidner tells us in a phone interview. " This is what I feel the Mustangs would be today, if they were built with modern technology and knowledge."

We think so too. If you want more information or want to purchase one of these beauties for your very own, check out their website at www.californiascooterco.com or give Steve and his staff a call at 1- 800- 884- 4173. Now I know how Steve's dad felt about that Mustang back in 1949.

     I want one!!
